Arrested Development’s frozen banana stand is now real; there’s always money in it…
“In an effort to get you even more excited than Buster after drinking a whole jug of “juice” for the new batch of Arrested Development episodes dropping May 26, Netflix has opened up an exact replica of the show’s frozen banana stand in London. It’ll be popping up around the city for the next two weeks before it moves to New York and L.A., allowing millions to gorge on chocolate-dipped ‘nanas while hitting on their cousins”.

Glazed over: Violence, paranoia and buttercream frosting define Scott Hove’s latest exhibition “Guns and Ecstasy”.
“Between wedding cakes bursting with fangs and icing-piped assault rifles, it’s not hard to see why the art of Scott Hove has gained such a strong following. A new exhibition and installation at Spoke Art in San Francisco called “Guns and Ecstasy” looks to cement his reputation of fusing fantasies with nightmares. Playing with social paranoia and our appetite for the absurd, Hove delivers an entertaining and immersive experience”.

“If “BOWIEVIRUS” was an actual communicable disease, we would eagerly sacrifice our immune systems for whatever wild symptoms might accompany the Ziggy Stardust-related illness. Alas, the clever title is not a known medical condition derived from Rock ‘N’ Roll icon David Bowie, it is simply the name of a new exhibit rolling into London’s Institute of Contemporary Art later this month.
Based on an issue of the UK fashion magazine Arena Homme Plus, BOWIEVIRUS was realized by famed photographer David Sims. The issue featured a gaggle of doppelgängers meant to serve as re-contextualized versions of the mercurial pop star”.
The issue will take physical form in the ICA’s exhibition which opens tomorrow 25th April”.

Chef Ben Spalding’s outdoor dining concept Stripped Back is to become a regular feature at Street Feast, the night food market in Dalston.

Ben Spalding is no newcomer to the culinary scene. He spent the last 10 years working in some of the world’s most renowned Michelin-starred restaurants including The Fat Duck, L’Autre Pied and Roganic. Expanding on the success of last year’s outdoor pop-up, Stripped Back has returned for a summer stint winning over punters with its raw (not literally) and personal approach.

Pitching up every Friday night the Street Feast market includes a collection of London’s best street food traders, pop up bars, art exhibitions and film screenings.
