Grimes at Field Day 2012

The festival season is now fully in swing and Crane.tv has hopped on the musical bandwagon. Last weekend we found ourselves in East London at Field Day.

Stand-out performances included Grimes, Modeselektor and Django Django, whose matching T-shirts definitely won our performance outfit of the day. We were surprised by some sunshine, got squashed at SBTRKT, blissed out with Beirut, and finally felt justified for bringing a brolly when it eventually rained.

Points of note: We felt that the hardcore hipster ratio had definitely diminished. Has Field Day become mainstream? Secondly - why is the V.I.P. area always so far away?
